User-defined transforms – useful feature of SigmaPlot
نویسندگان
چکیده
SigmaPlot ́s unique feature of using custom-made transforms not only allows various convenient calculations with data in a worksheet but also enables the construction of theoretical curves, for example. The latter was an argument for using this program in dose-response curve studies in the field of pharmacology [1, 2] first and in toxicology [3], more recently. To illustrate how useful working with user-defined transforms is, we want to give a few examples here.

Proposed new signal for real-time stress monitoring: Combination of physiological measures
Human stress is a physiological tension that appears when a person responds to mental, emotional, or physical chal-lenges. Detecting human stress and developing methods to manage it, has become an important issue nowadays. Au-tomatic stress detection through physiological signals may be a useful method for solving this problem. In most of the earlier studies, long-term time window was considere...
متن کاملClassical Wavelet Transforms over Finite Fields
This article introduces a systematic study for computational aspects of classical wavelet transforms over finite fields using tools from computational harmonic analysis and also theoretical linear algebra. We present a concrete formulation for the Frobenius norm of the classical wavelet transforms over finite fields. It is shown that each vector defined over a finite field can be represented as...
متن کاملTolerance-based Feature Transforms
Tolerance-based feature transforms (TFTs) assign to each pixel in an image not only the nearest feature pixels on the boundary (origins), but all origins from the minimum distance up to a user-defined tolerance. In this paper, we compare four simple-to-implement methods for computing TFTs on binary images. Of these methods, the Fast Marching TFT and Euclidean TFT are new. The other two extend e...

متن کاملFeature extraction in opinion mining through Persian reviews
Opinion mining deals with an analysis of user reviews for extracting their opinions, sentiments and demands in a specific area, which can play an important role in making major decisions in such area. In general, opinion mining extracts user reviews at three levels of document, sentence and feature. Opinion mining at the feature level is taken into consideration more than the other two levels d...
